What to Expect

What To ExpectYou will immediately feel at home the moment you walk in the door.
If you’ve ever gone to a social event where you didn’t know anyone, you know how uncomfortable that can make you feel. Our goal is to eliminate every shred of apprehension and make you feel at home. Since chiropractic care involves a series of visits, with each one building on the ones before, it’s important that our relationship can go the distance. We’ve found that one of the best ways to have successful patient relationships is to explain everything in advance. No surprises! The more you understand who we are, what we do and why we do it, the better results you’ll enjoy. It’s as simple as that. So, check us out here. Poke around. Get to know us. Then, contact us to make an appointment so we can get to know you.
  • First Visit
On your first visit, you will be asked to provide us with some basic information about you and your health concerns. Rest assured your information will be kept confidential and private. If you have insurance you will need your health insurance card and driver’s license with you. If you do not just bring us some form of picture identification. At that point you will be inserted in our system and you will be given a computer to guide you through our patient application process. Once you have filled out the application you will be given a tour of our office. Our office is very unique and different even compared to other chiropractors so this will show you the basics of our office and give you a better understanding of what we do. After this short tour you will be taken to the doctors office for your pre-consult. At this time you will speak with the doctor about your heath concerns. The next step is the consultation which is the examination itself. This consists of Postural Examination, Orthopedic Examination, Neurological Examination, Physical Examination and A Specific Spinal Examination will be performed. If necessary X-rays will be performed on site. At this point the doctor will begin to review your case to see if you can be helped. Your initial visit takes 60-90 minutes.
  • Second Visit
Your second visit will consist of a report to explain the findings (if any) and go over the options as to how to handle your problem(s). If x-rays were taken, the doctor will go over the results and recommend a plan to correct your problem. We will discuss at this time if other tests are needed or if you need to be referred to another physician for specialty care. If you have insurance, we will go over your specific benefits and coverage. Allow about 60 minutes for this appointment including any wait time. If you are accepted as a patient, and you get treated on this day, it will take a little more time for the actual treatment.
  • Regular Visits
After the investment of time needed on the first and second visits, many patients become concerned that every visit will be of equal length. In a word: no. A typical office visit may require just five to 10 minutes. But don’t think the brevity of a regular visit lessens its value! With the groundwork laid, we can quickly size up the condition of your spine and nervous system, adjust you and get you on your way. Like a regular workout at the gym, each visit builds on the ones before. Miss a visit and you can lose the momentum necessary to make the needed changes. We recognize your time is valuable. So we do everything possible to run on time and minimize the impact on your busy life.
